To find your way in Andalusia and in the Sierra Norte de Sevilla, we can advise you two good roadmaps:

From Sevilla:
The old road to Córdoba, former A-431 (on part of this road the road numbers have changed) through Alcalá del Rio, Villaverde, Cantillana, Lora del Río and Peñaflor.
From Cantillana the A-432 to El Pedroso, Cazalla de la Sierra, Alanís and Guadalcanal
From Lora del Río the A-455 to Constantina
From Peñaflor the SE-140 to La Puebla de los Infantes
To go to El Real de la Jara and Almadén de la Plata, drive north, taking the N-630 Sevilla-Mérida, and then take the A-465
From Córdoba:
The old road to Seville, the A-431 via Almodóvar del Río, Posadas, Peñaflor, Lora del Río and Cantillana
From Peñaflor the SE-140 to La Puebla de los Infantes
From Lora del Río the A-455 to Constantina
From Cantillana the A-432 de El Pedroso, Cazalla de la Sierra, Alanís and Guadalcanal
To get to Almadén de la Plata and El Real de la Jara, follow the A-431 to Villaverde del Río, where you change direction to Burguillos and Castilblanco de los Arroyos
From Mérida:
The N-630 towards Seville, and take the A-463 to El Real de la Jara and Almadén de la Plata
To enter the Sierra Norte de Sevilla through Guadalcanal, first take the N-630 to Seville, the exit to Llerena from where you follow the N-432 to Guadalcanal

By train
The train Seville-Mérida has three stations in the Sierra Norte, namely El Pedroso, Cazalla/Constantina and Guadalcanal. It is a regional stopping train, a so-called Cercanía, number C-3. For the regional stopping train, click on: Cercanías
The website of the Spanish railway company Renfe gives detailed information in Spanish and English. On that website you'll also find information about the high speed train Madrid-Seville, the AVE. Through the site you can also make reservations for this and other trains
By bus
The bus company Valenzuela connects Seville - from the bus station Plaza de Armas - with the villages in the Sierra Norte. Consult their time table
If you want to travel cheap, there is a good bus connection between Madrid and Seville by Socibus. The ride lasts 5 to 6 hours, but it is economic.
Do you want to travel by bus through Europe? Eurolines also stops in Seville.
Damas conects Seville with El Real de la Jara.
From Seville airport: Tussam runs a service between Sevilla and airport San Pablo. ⇒time table
Airplane
If you travel by airplane, you'd best fly to Seville. From there you can take a bus, the train or rent a car to come to the Sierra Norte de Sevilla. These companies have (direct) flights to Seville:
